What to do
- Pray Maghrib and Isha together when you reach Muzdalifah, with one call to prayer.
- Rest. The Prophet ﷺ slept at Muzdalifah. Tomorrow is a long day.
- Collect small pebbles for the stoning, about the size of a chickpea. You can collect them here or elsewhere.
- After Fajr, stand in remembrance facing the qiblah, praising Allah and making du’a, until the sky is bright. Then leave for Mina before sunrise.
لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَن تَبْتَغُوا۟ فَضْلًۭا مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ ۚ فَإِذَآ أَفَضْتُم مِّنْ عَرَفَٰتٍۢ فَٱذْكُرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ عِندَ ٱلْمَشْعَرِ ٱلْحَرَامِ ۖ وَٱذْكُرُوهُ كَمَا هَدَىٰكُمْ وَإِن كُنتُم مِّن قَبْلِهِۦ لَمِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ ﴿١٩٨﴾
Tidaklah menjadi salah, kamu mencari limpah kurnia dari Tuhan kamu (dengan meneruskan perniagaan ketika mengerjakan Haji). Kemudian apabila kamu bertolak turun dari padang Arafah (menuju ke Muzdalifah) maka sebutlah nama Allah (dengan doa,"talbiah" dan tasbih) di tempat Masy'ar Al-Haraam (di Muzdalifah), dan ingatlah kepada Allah dengan menyebutnya sebagaimana Ia telah memberikan petunjuk hidayah kepadamu; dan sesungguhnya kamu sebelum itu adalah dari golongan orang-orang yang salah jalan ibadatnya.
Why we do it
The whole of Muzdalifah is a place of standing.2 After a day of asking at Arafah, the night is spent in humility on the bare ground, and the morning is spent in remembrance, just as the verse commands.
Your heart today
Tonight there are no hotels and no ranks. Millions of people sleep on the ground side by side. Look around you. This is the ummah. Before you sleep, thank Allah for the day you have just had, and ask Him to accept it.
Du’as for today
Good in this world and the next
Bila In tawaf, between the Yemeni corner and the Black Stone. It is also one of the best du'as at any time.
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
TransliterasiRabbanā ātinā fid-dunyā ḥasanah, wa fil-ākhirati ḥasanah, wa qinā 'azāban-nār.
MaknaOur Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
